The K Family is a favorite here in the studio.  I have been working with little Oliver since he was a newborn and they have sent several really great families my way over the past couple years.  I was so happy to get the news that baby #2 was on the way!  Oliver has grown so much!  He is the sweetest and most polite little guy.  He is also quite infatuated with his new baby brother.  He did such a good job taking photos with him and gave him lots of unprompted kissed and snuggles.  Ashton took after his big brother and did fabulously for his portion of the session! We did a good number of sets and he posed perfectly.  He was so squishy and he even gave me a couple really sweet grins!  I was also happy to finally bring out some darker blues that have been sitting around in the studio for a while waiting for the right opportunity to come out!  In all it was a really great session with a really great family.

Things have been a bit hectic here and I feel like it’s been ages since I shot Logan’s newborn session!  There has been a bit of a baby boom here, and many of those babies are some of my past clients that are adding on to their family!  Logan is the baby brother of Finn, who I first met about 2 1/2 years ago.  It was so nice to see the S family again and to see how big Finn has gotten!  Logan does look quite a bit like his big brother.  Both were little peanut babies and they both have similar facial features. One notable difference is Logan’s fantastic fuzzy head of hair!  I was obsessed with his natural faux hawk and how fluffy it was!  He was easily one of my most relaxed babies that have been in the studio in quite a while.  He was up for pretty much anything that we wanted to do! I love that his mom chose earthy tones for his session. The greens and browns were just perfect for this adorable little guy!

Sweet little Carmella put me to work for her newborn session.  She was another little wiggle worm and was definitely not a big fan of me posing her hands.  Her momma requested a Rainbow Baby set up, which believe it or not was my first!  Her momma calls her “my little rainbow baby”, and I know how much it means to her. This sweet and petite baby girl is so special and loved by her family.

When I saw Zoey come into my studio, I couldn’t stop gushing over how pretty she is.  She has a beautiful head of hair, gorgeous skin, and pretty lips.  I often joke that it’s the pretty ones that make me work the hardest, and Zoey certainly fit that bill! She was definitely not a big fan of the idea of having to pose for her newborn session!  Zoey was a bit of what I call a “time bomb”.  That is as I was getting her into position and perfecting the details, I never knew when she would get mad and completely throw herself out of position.  Then of course, I would have to start over again.  So her session went a little like this…..  Get her in position, take a shot.  Fix her fingers, take a shot.  Raise her head up higher, oh no, start over! …..you get the idea!  With time and patience we finished her session with an absolutely gorgeous gallery of images.  While she may have been a bit of a stinker, she sure was adorable.  At times newborn sessions can be quite challenging and while I worked hard for this one, I really enjoyed the time I spent working with with this gorgeous baby and her sweet parents.
