Tommy’s Cake Smash Session

The Stipek Family has been one that I have worked with several times over the years and I always look forward to their sessions.  They first came to me back when big sister Adeline was a newborn and then for her milestone sessions.  I was so thrilled when I learned that they were adding to their family and Tommy was born! I have worked with him for his newborn session and sitter mini session.  It was a little bittersweet to close it out with his cake smash session.  Tommy  did such a great job for his session too!  He has the cutest little personality and I adore his blue eyes and smile.  These two little have been such a pleasure to work with and I will miss seeing them!

Eyla’s Newborn Session

Michigan Newborn Photographer

Eyla was one of the sleepiest newborns I had in the studio in a while.  She really let me do anything, and I couldn’t help myself from doing as many sets as I could with her.  She was the most adorable petite baby and had the sweetest features.  Her big brother Gage was also quite the fun little guy! He had the best curly blond hair and loved to laugh. He also loves his little sister very much!  I had such a great time working Eyla and her sweet family.

Claire’s Newborn Session

I just love when “my” families grow!  May was a month of many past clients adding to their families.  I was so excited to hear that the Jensen family was adding another little one!  I first met them when big brother Michael was born.  I remember him being a bit of a tough cookie for his newborn session, but he did wonderfully for his sitter mini and cake smash sessions!  I’m thinking that Claire may be following in her brother’s footsteps.  She was not the biggest fan when it came to posing for the beanbag, but did wonderfully while wrapped up nice and tight.  To those that have been following my most recent posts, you may have noticed that trend with my little ones with a May due date.  I have jokingly become a bit superstitious and wonder if some force such a moon phase has an effect on how a newborn session will go. In any case, with a bit of work, Claire had a beautiful session. I love that her momma chose to have a bit of green in her session, just like she did for Michael’s newborn session.  It’s one of my personal favorite colors and I feel like I just don’t get enough girls in green in the studio!  It was so nice to see this family again and I look forward to photographing Claire’s milestones!

Dahlia’s Wrapped Mini Newborn Session

Dahlia was a feisty little peanut!  This little beauty put up a little bit of a fight at the beginning of her session .  She definitely wanted me to know that she wasn’t too keen on the whole process.  Fortunately, she was in for a wrapped mini session and she did calm down once I was able to fully wrap her.  She gave me just enough time to  get everything that I needed, and she did it all perfectly!  She looked absolutely stunner in lavender and baby blue. They were definitely her colors!!!!    Her momma preferred more wrapped on beanbag style images over the wrapped in a prop and I think it came out so beautifully!  This is the second wrapped mini newborn session that I have shot now and I have to say that I really enjoy them.  Newborns are quite content when they are wrapped up nice and cozy and we can still get quite a variety images in our short amount of time!

Landon’s Newborn Session

You may have noticed that May was a particularly busy month with siblings being part of the newborn session.  Landon’s session was not an exception!  I first met the Carl Family when big sister Brooklynn came in for her newborn session.  I also got to see her during sitter mini sessions and also her cake smash session!  I was so excited when I learned that she was going to be a big sister!  Baby brother Landon looks so much like his big sister too!  After completing the froggy pose, Landon made it clear that he was not a huge fan of the nude beanbag poses (which also seemed to be a theme my my May babies!).  After a little awake time, he finally fell asleep and seemed quite content as long as he was wrapped up nice and snug.
