New Packaging Look | Jennifer Hosking Photography

Since the beginning of 2012, I’ve been slowly updating and changing my packaging and brand look.  I was just chatting with a photographer friend about this today and I though why not share a couple photos!  It just so happens that I took a couple shots before I sent my last orders out.

Now, bare with my product photography, as that is certainly not my strength!   The open box is my digital delivery for a client who just did a mini session and bought the digi mini package.  The closed box with the ribbon is for a client who purchased my print package.  I’m not going to give away all of my vendors, but I am loving my new business cards  and thank you cards printed at Millers.  I am a bit obsessed with their cotton paper right now and have been using it for all recent press products.  Inside the print box, prints are in glassine envelopes and all wrapped in yellow tissue paper.

Love, love, love your new packaging, Jen! Beautiful!

Avery {one year} | Metro Detroit Baby Photographer

I couple weeks ago I got  work with yet another baby I met as a newborn.  Miss Avery met up with me for a Birthday Mini Session.    I love that her face has matured, but you can still see recognize the face from when she was a newborn.

Such a cute little gal!

We went outside to try out a fun idea I saw on Pinterest

Then back inside for some Birthday Cake!

She is adorable! What a sweet little smile!

Alexa {One Year!} | Downriver Baby Photographer

Alexa is the first of this group of  babies that I first  photographed as newborns and have now graduated into toddlers.    There will be a couple more blog posts revisiting some familiar (but very grown up!) faces within the next month!

This is my third session with Alexa and I have to say she is quite the cute little princess!  I love seeing the personality progression each time I work with her….And let me tell you,  Alexa is loaded with personality!    To jog your memory, some photos from newborn Alexa can be seen here and again as a 6 month old.  Now she is a beautiful and silly toddler  (and a bit of a diva too!!!).  She had me laughing the whole time we were working.

Seriously a little beauty!!!!

But, it’s not always easy being so cute!

Sorry, I just couldn’t help myself. Hehee!

Alexa has a St Patrick’s Day Birthday!  I just love her expression and how she is sitting.

I feel mean posting another crying shot of Alexa, I do!  But her smash cake reaction was so darn cute and funny.  She is a little girl who definitely does not like getting dirty.  She had absolutely no interest in eating with her hands.  When her mom tried to help with getting the process moving, she was NOT happy!  She kept saying, “guk, guk” (yuck) in a sad voice.  Poor baby!

She did a bit better once she had a spoon.

As I’m sure you can tell, I had a lot of fun with this shoot.  Here are some more from Alexa’s session…

Emma {6 days new} | Metro Detroit Newborn Photographer

As always, I am a bit behind in blogging.  On St Patrick’s Day I got to photograph an old friends sweet newborn girl.  It’s always fun to catch up with an old friend while working.  As many of you know, I just love working with sweet newborns, so it was a pretty great way to spend St Patrick’s Day!

Miss Emma is one very loved baby girl.  She was such a sweet little snuggle bug!  One thing she didn’t like was was having her hands posed. Some newborns are definitely more easy to pose than others and some have very distinct dislikes. I took this shot while she was awake and it never fails that I giggle every time I see it.  Such a silly and extremely adorable face!  I dare you to not smile when you see her!

Then there is the butterfly shot.  This set was sent to me from Girly Glam 4 Me.  It is a bit different from my normal newborn props, but as soon as I saw Emma’s beautiful lavender nursery, I knew this was going to make the most perfect image to be displayed in her room.  Danielle, I hope you will be getting a LARGE canvas?!?!?! Haha!

Speaking of Danielle, she is one STUNNING momma! It’s totally not fair that she looks this great after having a baby just 6 days before this was shot. I think this ranks as one of my favorite parent/baby shots.  So tender and sweet!

More of the wee lass Emma..
