Last week was what I consider “opening day”, my first outdoor session of the season! And like every year, I was a bundle of nerves! I always feel like I go into it a bit rusty. I was worried because the leaves were just coming out and the general light is different from the indoor light I’ve been shooting for the last 6 months. Also because one year olds tend to do what they want and have little interest in me….it’s expected with the age. Some sessions go more smoothly than others. I was reminded of this when Everlyn’s mommy wrote that she can be a challenge to photograph on her questionnaire. Yikes! LOL! Then came the session, and Everlyn was awesome!!!! Yes, there were tears, which is expected, but she did great! She is such a cute baby girl and gave me a lot of personality!
Well, I definitely didn’t need to worry about this session. It’s one of my current favorites and one that I feel that shows me as an artist. The simple and beautifully lit location and soft colors are what makes my heart sing! The focus is right on this adorable baby girl and her family! I would shoot every outdoor session in this little pocket if I could.
While it’s hard to pick a favorite from this session, I just adore this image of Everlyn! How perfect is she?

Love the family images as well. Everylyn’s parents dressed perfectly. Her mommy’s top is so cute and love the shade of blue Dad wore!
Aren’t they just the picture perfect family?

More from this sweet baby girl and her family!
